Back on Track

Being pregnant you're expected to put on some extra weight or "birthing fat", but as I was expecting I put on more than I had hoped or anticipated. All my life I've been very athletic. I was in the military and going out for EOD (explosive ordinance) which is a step under SEALS... actually I trained with seals where I was stationed first. Needless to say, I was in great shape. Six pack abs, right weight for m height, and able to climb up a 40 ft. rope just using my arms.

Now, out of the Navy and after a baby, I have already lost a good amount of the baby weight, but I could definitely deal with toning up. I don't always have all the time in the world now with a three month old, and I'd like to set aside more time to go to the gym. Running and jogging only does so much, yes it burns fat, but it doesn't give you a six pack back.

One of my room mates from the navy had an electronic muscle stimulator to tone up when she was just sitting there doing tech school homework... or eating. I'd always laugh at her because it made her muscles twitch and sometimes catch her by surprise. I never thought to try her muscle stimulator ( I obviously didn't need it at that time) but now I wish I had bought one as well.

I always leave little hints about what I want for Christmas out for my husband to notice. Sometimes I leave catalogs out to specific pages on our dining room table, or mention something really awesome that someone else got one time and how I thought it would be cool to get one as well. (You know, really typical chick stuff). This time I think I'm going to pull up a search page for electronic muscle stimulation and leave it up on the laptop for when he goes to check on the weather in the morning time. Maybe he'll get the hint and get me a muscle stimulation machine this Christmas.
